Aleksei is an American actress, model, and dramatic performer who hails in New York. Guarnaschelli gained her first food experiences while watching recipes she'd written in the cookbooks of her mother being tested at her home. She began her career under Larry Forgione before working in several Los Angeles, New York and French restaurants. Guarnaschelli was eventually the head chef at Butter. Guarnaschelli is an Food Network Iron Chef America contestant who competed with Cat Cora for the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 during Iron Chef America. Seit then she is a judge of the program. Guarnaschelli also participated in The Next Iron Chef in Season 4 of the show in 2011. She also competed with the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode but was eliminated from the event. Following the conclusion of The next Iron Chef's 4th season, she was made sous-chef for Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. She was the host of The Food Network program The Cooking Loft, with Alex Guarnaschelli. In this show she taught a group of students in small groups how to re-invent classic dishes.
